You’ll need to configure the software settings for any TV or steaming device you add it on in order to function right.

What Devices Support IPTV?

Most of the newer LG, Samsung, Vizio, and even Sharp smart TVs function fully supported. Some that aren't can be made to work with a firmware update.

You can also add the software to Android TV boxes, STB MAG, and Fire TV devices like the Firestick. 

Note that you’ll still have to update your TV or media system with the SIPTV app. This application doesn’t come included with the purchase of any internet-ready TV, Android, or iPhone. See below for how to get the APK downloaded for installation. 

Many reliable reviews have reported finding the software APK removed from official app stores, but I have a workaround if this is the case with your television.

Get IPTV Working on Samsung TV 

Set Samsung removed several app favorites without explanation including Smart IPTV APK. You can get IPTV installed on your television with a simple hack.

Once installed, you may need to keep it from being deleted on TV restart by going to App > Smart Hub > App Auto Update and turning auto-update to off.

Important Note: If your TV is a D series (2011) or older, IPTV will not work on it. If made between 2011 and 2015 (model E, ES, F, H, HU, J4, and J52), your Samsung has the Orsay operating system. Starting in 2015 (model J, K, M, N, Q, R, and newer), their models ship with the Tizen operating system. See below to place the IPTV app on any compatible model.

If using Samsung TV developer mode, you can program the Sync Server to IP address 213.239.214.202.

Orsay OS Samsung TV Sets (2011 - 2015)

1. Grab the Orsay Widget for your TV set from http://siptv.app/howto/sammy/files/siptv_orsay.zip 
2. Unzip the SmartIPTV directory and place in the root of a USB thumb drive.
3. Plug the thumb drive into a USB port accessible by Orsay OS.
4. Smart IPTV should now appear in your television's Apps Tizen.

 OS Samsung TV Sets (2015 - present) 

1. Grab the Tizen Widget for your TV set from http://siptv.app/howto/sammy/files/siptv_tizen.zip
2. Unzip and place the userwidget directory in the root of a USB thumb drive. 
3. Plug the thumb drive into a USB port accessible by Tizen OS.
4. The Smart IPTV app should appear in your My Apps screen

IPTV App Download Process

This video application is available in both the Apple App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android TV box or phone. You can side-load the Android APK version on a Firestick by visiting Google Play with Down-loader, which is freely available in the Amazon App Store. This is because they do not carry the APK in their own shop.

First, to get started with streaming videos, make sure your smart TV is connected to the external internet. Then, navigate to the home page of your internet-connected TV with the remote. You should see the store as one of the options listed there.

If the app is not on the main screen, use the search feature to find Smart IPTV and download it. Once downloaded, you should find it in the “All Apps” or “Updates” areas of smart devices. Once you have the installer APK, getting it installed to activate the app won't take long.

SIPTV Activation

Once the app's window opens, a MAC address should show up on your TV screen. Make a note of this MAC address by entering it on your smartphone or writing it down on a piece of paper. You'll need to enter it to activate the app later.

The app is available for a 7 day trial version with no cost to you. After that, you’ll be required to buy it by paying a small one-time activation fee. It's not much, considering all the great TV programs and supported films you'll be able to access without paying anything further. Of course, you can always buy an IPTV trial subscription from one of many service providers.

Setup SIPTV with Playlist File

1. Use a web browser on any device connected to the web and type the URL http://siptv.eu/mylist/. 
2. Click Upload local IPTV playlist or external playlist URL with auto-update. 
3. Type in the MAC address you noted earlier. 
4. Enter any playlist link listed in our IPTV Channels article or upload your own channels list. 

Once you finish getting channels into IPTV, head back to your Samsung internet connected TV main screen to activate. At this point, close then restart the application. Your streaming video channels should be available for you to access now.

Activate Smart IPTV

As noted earlier, you’ll enjoy all the channels and features (even the EPG) of this IPTV app for 7 days and no subscription is ever required. A single paid update is required, however. If you enjoy the app enough, pay the small activation fee after your trial period is over. This update will allow you to keep using the EPG, unlimited IPTV video channel lists, and other awesome benefits.

To pay this one-time activation fee, return to the http://siptv.eu page you were on earlier. Once there, navigate to the Activation page. To get there, you can also click https://siptv.eu/activation/.

The one-time fee is currently €5.49 per device, and you can use one of many different payment methods to buy it. The activation site utilizes Braintree for payment services. PayPal, credit or debit cards, bank transfer, prepaid & cash, or E-Wallet are all accepted forms of payment.

As an alternative, you may buy it manually with BTC, BCH, ETH, ETC, or LTC via email or a Coinbase account. There could also be other Cryptocurrencies accepted by the time you read this. They even accept Yandex.Деньги and Webmoney.

You’ll once more need to input the MAC address noted earlier along with your email to make your payment.

Common Install, & Setup Problems

As with most things in life, sometimes downloading, installing, or updating won’t go as planned. Some users may encounter various issues. Here are the most common challenges along with my quick-fix suggestions and solutions.

“Smart IPTV isn't in the App Store” 

The first thing to check is if your device is compatible with the service. There are a couple of workarounds if you find it to be compatible but still find it missing from the app store. 

Note that some app stores have removed this video software from their offerings and a few countries have even banned it. This is likely due to the ease of access it provides for watching streams of live sports broadcasts, films, and TV series that have been pirated. 

For example, The Samsung shop in Italy doesn’t provide this any longer. There's a quick workaround solution to this censorship issue. Sign up in another country’s online TV Services store using a VPN. Then, you can freely grab it from their app store as if you were in a different country. 

The Amazon App Store has also removed this app. You can still get Smart IPTV on any FireOS device by downloading its APK with the help of Downloader app. Then, Downloader app will offer to put the IPTV app on Firestick, Fire TV, or Fire TV Cube by side-loading your downloaded APK file.

“The Smart IPTV Mac Address Changed” 

No worries, there are usually multiple MAC addresses between each TV install and the network. These are your WiFi and Ethernet addresses. When you switch connections, the update and activation of the second MAC address will follow automatically. To continue using the app, all you need to do is restart the application. It should then detect the currently used one.

“My Playlist Gets Error Messages” 

The problem may be with your playlist. If it works on other devices but not on your TV, try this simple test. 

First, be sure that all links in the list are working channel streams. Next, check if your TV supports the codecs being used by the M3U8 streams. Check with the internet TV or streaming device manufacturer for more information about which stream file formats your model supports.

“Using SIPTV Gives Errors” 

You may encounter a message saying “no playlist uploaded” or “check playlist URL” or a similar update. Try using the example test channel list provided by the IPTV service site again when this happens. Check your playlist for a bad field or address if the provided sample M3U8 liste works. 

The URL you provide should be a direct link. You could also try downloading your playlist then uploading it as a static playlist. 

If you're receiving the “check playlist URL” message, try rebooting. Turn off your television, wait at least 1 minute, then turn it back on. 

Another update that may help fix the issue is reducing the size of your IPTV subscription channels list. Some of the free IPTV playlists found online contain thousands of streaming IPTV channels, which take a lot of processing and memory to detect all at once. 

This can also make a search of the EPG quite difficult.
